The first step towards recovery starts with admitting you have a problem. This simple acknowledgment gets the ball rolling in the right direction. After that you need a solid game plan for your journey towards recovery. We strongly believe in residential treatment centers as the most effective way of working towards recovery. Short term programs simply don’t have the power to break the bonds of addiction. Long term treatment has a much higher success rate because it’s get down the root of the problem and helps to rebuild the individual with a new way of thinking and living.
Faith Based Treatment
Faith based treatment means the treatment facility not only treats the addiction, but also helps the individual build a spiritual foundation in Christianity. Faith based treatment programs have been shown to have higher success rates than those of secular programs. The Jennifer Act is a strong advocate for Faith Based Treatment, but we understand that these programs may not be for everyone. Here is our list of recommended programs that we’ve had first hand interaction with and can vouch for their values and foundations.
- Wheeler Missions
- Caring People Recovery
- Teen Challenge (Mens Program)
- Teen Challenge (Womens Program)
- Addiction Centers
- The Refuge Ranch
- Indiana Dream Team
Secular Treatment Programs
Secular treatment programs help individuals with their addiction to drugs and alcohol. There are many programs around the country, but here’s a list that we recommend if you need a starting point.
